Activities Zone
Swindon Mela is more than music and dance. There are plenty of ways to explore and enjoy a wide range of Asian inspired activities.
Coordinated by Mina Bhogal and Kakaub Dean the Zone offers activities throughout the day that include Turban Tying by Swindon Gurdwara, Carrom Board workshops, Messy Arts with volunteers from Drove Children‘s Centre offering fun activities such as “gold“ sieving and biscuit decorating.
Treat yourself to a flawless "Bollywood Style" make-up session or some simple advice on beauty care with professional make-up artists who are part of a management team of a top make-up artist company to celebrities.

Goa Sunset....
Fondly called the “king of Indian roads” and festooned with beautiful flowers ?Goa Sunset, vintage Indian Ambassador Car graces the Mela; with interiors bedecked with rich fabrics of red and gold who would want to miss a photo opportunity. If you are looking to book for that jaw dropping entrance at a special occasion - then look no further.
COOKERY DEMONSTRATION ....
Learn how to cook good basic healthy dishes with Terri Rhind; local leader and consultant for a national food tasting company. Entertaining and informative in her demonstrations Terri creates some authentic culinary dishes that are quite likely to have you experimenting on family and friends. Join in the fun by getting involved in the Pathoray rolling workshops (a famous breakfast delicacy eaten widely throughout Pakistan).

The Health Zone
The Health Zone invites you to take time out in an area of calm and tranquillity amidst all the hustle and bustle of the event. Co-ordinated by Jenny Talkington (author of Emotional Reflexology a Practical Guide) the Zone invites people to try out alternative therapies such as:
Including free workshops on Tai Chi, Capoeira and Children’s Yoga
You can access a wealth of information towards living a more natural and healthier life by visiting the information stands. Providers from local health services will be available to answer any questions on the services that they provide; including the Swindon Borough Council Health Ambassadors, Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Team and RLK Barnardo‘s Children's Centre. Kube Medical Ltd will be on hand to offer spinal health checks.
Why not come and visit the "Mystic Tent" and seek a reading through Tarot cards or a medium.
