Discovery Zone

Walk over the bridge to a place of welcome and shaded tranquillity. Come and learn the art of wearing a sari, find out about henna (mehndi) tattoos, learn the history of Indian dance and music, learn about the countries and faiths of South Asia and the Asian communities of Swindon.

Find out about Tamil dance fitness programme and visit the Nepalese and Gurkha cultural marquee, meet the Bahá'ís in their dome tent. Make sure you take time out to be enthralled by the amazing epic Hindu story “The Ramayan” and enjoy the beautiful melodies of our professional Sitar player Rohit Ballal and his Panchatantra stories of ancient Indian animal fables. The Discovery Zone welcomes you to stay awhile and picnic under the shade of trees.

Visit the Faith Zone, Tamil and Nepalese marquees and the Hindu Árati ceremony area, South Asian Performing Arts Centre, Swindon105.5, find out about Buddhism and meet the Asian community groups of Swindon.
